Hi friends! I wanted to talk to you about two of my favorite things. Which if you read the title you already know that they are makeup and skincare!
First, I want to talk about the skincare line I have been using lately. Tula has been a staple in my everyday routine for the past month. I love every single product I have from them.
These are my top products currently! The scrub is amazing and gets rid of those clogged black heads. I use the moisturizer everyday single day as well as the sunscreen. The cleanser is the best one I’ve used in a long time and I have loved adding it into my routine. My top two favorite products are the ones that make my makeup look flawless and if you get anything I highly suggest these. First I go in with the blurring primer. It is by far the best primer I have ever used. I have tried tons of primers and never found one I like as much as this one. Then I add the rose glow and get it on top. This feels so good going on and brightens my eyes so much. You can put this under or over makeup.
I do have a discount with Tula! Use code 15Chloe for 15% off your order!
Next up is all of the Charlotte Tilbury goodies that I have been absolutely loving!
My favorite products are the blush, contour and lip liner! They are all such high quality amazing products. Currently you can get some of them on sale at Nordstrom. Shop this photo in my LIKEtoKNOW.it to score an amazing deal!
This time that we are living in can be kind of crazy and stressful! I know so many people feels drained at the end of the day. It can be hard to be on social media or to watch or listen to the news.
I decided this was the perfect time to put together a list of my favorite feel good activities!
1. Picking Up a Good Book
This is always a great go to activity. Reading a good book can lower your stress levels and distract your mind. When I need some serious stress relief I always choose a fiction book. I also like to read “self help” books when I need a pick me up. Preferably ones that are humorous!
2. Declutter Your Space + Sell Things
I love to do a deep closet clean out! I feel better getting rid of old stuff. I also put a bunch of things for sale online and donate other items! This is a great way to have a mental reset!
3. Journal and Gratitude
I like to write down things I’m grateful for and also make a list of goals I am trying to accomplish! I personally use the Start Today Journal.

4. Binge Watch a Feel Good Show
I love watching shows that make me feel light and happy. I enjoy Hart of Dixie and Bless this Mess. Everyone has some sort of show that relaxes them!
5. Take a Walk
Going outside and getting some fresh air usually brings me a lot of peace and clarity. This is unfortunately really hard to do here in AZ in the summer because you feel like you are trapped inside an oven!
6. Create a New Playlist
I love finding and creating new playlists on Spotify. There’s something really relaxing about just scrolling and looking for new songs!
7. All Of The Oils + Bathtime
Take a bath with some Epsom salts and lavender. Or try out a combination of oils! I love to turn down the lights and listen to some music and enjoy some aromatherapy!
8. Meditation + Yoga
Before the pandemic hit I started going to yoga a lot more and it was amazing! Thankfully you can find yoga classes online for free! I still also try to meditate and either lay on the floor or just sit and close my eyes for a while.
9. Get Creative!
I love doing arts and crafts and fun things like that. It makes you feel like a kid again in a really great way! Painting and drawing are always so much fun and you can do it alone or with someone!
10. Create a Vision Board
I absolutely love vision boards! You can make one on Pinterest and pin all sorts of things or you can do one by hand and get super creative with it. I have always liked cutting stuff out and putting it on a board to see.
I hope this inspires you and that you take some time just for yourself.
Hi everyone! I’m back with another post all about the Nordstrom sale. This is the best sale ever in my opinion. It is so unique and the deals are incredible. I put together some photos that are linked in my LIKEtoKNOW.it to be able to shop the sale when it is released! Currently they only have the preview, so you are able to see what items will be in the sale.
I included some makeup favorites as well as products that are on my wish list!
I absolutely love St. Tropez. That was the first self tanner I ever used. I’m also incredibly obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury.
Fashion Favorites
So many fall and winter transition pieces!
I love Spanx and if you have been wanting to try them out now is the time! They are on sale for about $30 less than they normally are. I also included some popular sweaters and also a Rails plaid shirt. These are always a favorite for everyone in the sale. High end jeans are another great purchase. I got my favorite pair last year in the sale for a great price.
Shoes
Boots and booties are always great to get at this time because they are such an incredible deal! I also love picking up some nice sneakers that I wouldn’t normally buy at full price.
Random Favorites
The blanket I included was my favorite from last years sale.
Now is the time to pick up accessories and other things you have been wanting! I know a lot of people who do a little Christmas shopping during this sale because the prices are so great on stuff they want to buy later on. I highly highly recommend grabbing one of these blankets. They are super soft and also make a great gift!
I absolutely can’t wait to shop this sale! If you want more information on how the sale works and when it is check out my last blog post for all of those details!
Hi friends! The best sale of the year is almost here! I have loved the anniversary sale for as long as I can remember. Nordstrom is by far my favorite department store. Every year there are certain things I always have my eye on!
What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
This sale is one of a kind because it is all new stuff coming out for the fall that is discounted! I love the fact that it’s not leftover things, it is stuff people really want at a better price. It happens every August!
Who Can Shop the Sale?
This sale is open to everyone! Card holders do get first pick of all sale items.
The earliest is August 4th but most will start the 13th if they have a card! It opens to everyone on the 19th to shop. They will also start previewing what will be in the sale ahead of time.
What I Look for at the Sale!
Popular items every year in the sale include- blankets, boots, fuzzy jackets, and beauty items. If you have wanted to try an expensive beauty item this is the time to do it! I know a lot of people take advantage of this sale and get a bare foot dreams blanket. I personally love the Nordstrom brand blankets and purchased two last year! Boots are also something really great to get because they have amazing styles and on August 31st the prices go back up. Last year I also grabbed some Alo Yoga stuff for a great price along with some Good American Jeans. These are things I would not normally splurge on but I got them at a great price and it was totally worth it!
I will be doing another blog post on my picks for the sale when those are released! I can’t wait to see all of the new stuff coming out this year.
Hi friends! I wanted to write a quick blog post on how I am doing my laser hair removal now. I used to go to a spa to get it done but recently I have been using RoseSkinCo’s IPL hair removal. It is a small device that is used to help get rid of hair!
What you do is plug it in and turn it on and decide on the level you want it on! I recommend starting out on the lower levels and then working your way up.
You will save so much money purchasing a laser to use at home compared to going to a spa for treatments! This laser is only $85 when you use my discount code THEBUSYBRUNETTE!
Hi friends! Tomorrow I am leaving for Wyoming and I just finished packing up all of my stuff! One thing I love about driving is that I can throw whatever I need in the car!
I made a basic list that will hopefully help if you are traveling this summer! I am going from Arizona to Wyoming so it will be much cooler. I can’t wait to have to wear a jacket at night honestly!
I purchased this luggage last summer while I was doing a lot of traveling and it is the best! It’s super cute and was a TJ Maxx find.
Our drive is 15 hours so I packed some entertainment and also made sure to bring a cooler full of snacks!
I am not a light packer for sure and I like having a couple extra options! We are going for just under a week and I made sure to bring a variety depending on the weather and what I could need during the day vs at night!
I hope this list was helpful to anyone doing some road tripping!
Hi friends! On July 2nd I am leaving for Wyoming with my boyfriend! We have never done this long of a drive together before and I thought in preparation I would make a blog post all about road trips when you are in a relationship! The drive to Wyoming from Arizona for us is 15 hours without stopping. Our longest road trip so far has been 4 hours.
I decided to put a list together of road tripping essentials and things to do together to make the time go by!
1. An Amazing Playlist-
A good playlist is the most essential part of a road trip for sure! At least when it comes to entertainment. I have a playlist on Spotify specifically for this that I created last summer! It has about 200 songs and a ton of variety.
2. Podcasts–
When you get tired of music listening to a podcast together is a good change of pace. I made a list of a couple podcasts for couples to listen to together.
-RISE Together- Rachel Hollis is my favorite and she has this podcast with her husband. I am super excited to listen to this one with my boyfriend on our trip!
-IGNTD Podcast- This one is a couple talking all about relationships and also some other super interesting topics. I found this one and thought we would give it a try!
-Some Comedy Podcast- I am not sure which one yet but I am looking for something funny to make us laugh when we are getting tired.
3. Games-
Classic road tripping games can be a lot of fun! A couple that I like to play in the car are the license plate game and the “I’m going on a picnic” game! These pass the time and can get pretty funny! It’s also fun to make up lives for the people in passing cars and make up totally random stories about them. Really anything that makes you laugh and passes the time!
4. Questions-
Asking each other questions is a great way to bond on a trip! I put together a little list of questions to ask your person on a road trip-
1. Invent your own word. What does it mean?
2. How would you spend your ideal day?
3. If you could travel back to any era, which would you choose?
4. What hobby would you like to do more of/ or what hobby would you like to start?
5. What is one thing I do that always makes you happy?
6. If you had unlimited money to build a house, what would it look like and have?
7. If you could only have one super what would it be?
8. What is your favorite smell? Why?
9. If you could have a second home anywhere, where would it be?
10. What is one thing you are excited to do when we get to our distinction?
Next I wanted to talk about some essentials to take on your trip! Snacks are number one for me after the obvious stuff like your drivers license and car insurance ect. I have already started buying stuff for us like beef jerky, chips, fruit snacks, and some other random stuff. I will probably pack us a lunch and put it in a cooler that way we don’t have to stop and eat somewhere. Because it is such a long trip we will be trying to limit how many times we stop! I also recommend bringing a drink such as a Body Armor to keep hydrated while you are driving especially if you are changing altitudes. We will have some pillows and blankets in the car with us as well and I will probably bring my sleep mask so we can switch off and take little naps if we need to!
I am actually really looking forward to taking this trip with my boyfriend. I look at it as a great time to bond and have fun together. It’s not often that you can get total uninterrupted alone time!
I hope these little tips were helpful for you on your next road trip!
Hi everyone! Today I decided to do a little fashion blogging. I will be including my link to my LIKEtoKNOW.it so that you will be able to shop everything that I talk about on here!
The first category is all about work/work from home!
Hi friends! In this weeks blog post I wanted to talk about toxic habits. We all have them! Some of us are more aware of them, while others pretend they don’t exist. You may also think these things are normal!
I think 2020 is stressful enough. One great thing about this year though, is that it is the year we should really be working on ourselves and trying to grow! With that being said I put together a list of toxic habits to toss this year!
1. Stressing About Thing That Are Out Of Your Control. This is a total happiness killer. I know when I start to worry like that I end up in a spiral that is hard to get out of. So many things are out of our control. There is power in letting go of that.
2. Not Letting Go- To follow up with that, not letting go and holding on to stuff is extremely toxic. Imagine if you didn’t let go of anything and you wandered through life holding onto things from the past.
3. Comparison- Ugh the ultimate joy killer! It is so easy to compare ourselves to others and start to feel really bad about where our life is and what we could be doing that we aren’t. My mom always told me that if everyone put their crap out on a table and you got to really see it, she would still choose her own any day. You never really know what life is like for someone else, so be grateful for your own crap!
4. Not Forgiving Yourself- STOP being so hard on yourself! Let it go and move on. We are all human and we are all flawed. Forgive yourself. Trust me it feels great once you do!
5. Quit Staying In Your Comfort Zone- I said what I said! How do you expect to grow if you don’t get out of your comfort zone? When I do I always end up happy with the results. Even if it doesn’t go the way I want it to, I still pushed myself and tried!
I hope you loved these and that you feel a little bit more motivated to kick old crap to the dirt! You won’t regret it. Bettering yourself is an amazing feeling.
This show is The Real Housewives meets Million Dollar Listing. It follows a group of real estate agents and all of their drama! So far it has two seasons but the third comes out in August!
Virgin River (Netflix)
Small town vibes. Kind of like a darker Hart of Dixie! Only one season so far. Based off of a book series.
Heartland (Netflix)
Although this show has TONS of seasons I still feel like it is underrated. Based in Canada on a ranch, this show follows along with Amy as she navigates friendships and family while working with troubled horses. This is one of my all time favorites.
Longmire (Netflix)
This show is about a small town sheriff and his deputies. It takes place in Wyoming (which I love) and keeps you completely entertained!
The OA (Netflix)
This will have you questioning everything happening. It’s almost like watching Inception. Totally makes you think! Not one of those shows that you put on as background noise. I can’t even explain the premise of it.
Godless (Netflix)
The Wild Wild West! The Town is almost all women and they will protect their town from ruthless cowboys until the end! It’s a must watch.
Single Parents (Hulu)
This show is hilarious and has a great cast. Even the child actors in it are amazing! It’s about a group of single parents just trying to get through life.
Siren (Hulu)
Siren (2018) is about a small town and the legends that are actually reality. Mermaids exist and a small group of humans befriend one in particular.
The Great (Hulu)
This show is new to Hulu. It is absolutely hilarious but also twisted. It is somewhat based off of historical events. I think everyone needs to watch it!
Bless This Mess (Hulu)
Apparently some of the best shows take place in a small town! This is one of my happy shows. Amazing cast and plot line. The main characters inherit a farm and Nebraska and try to learn how to transition from living in New York City to a small town!
HonorableMention- Yellowstone (Paramount Network)
This show is not as well know as it could be because it is not on Netflix or Hulu. It is also one of my favorites! It takes place in Montana on a large ranch. It follows along with a very complicated family and their struggles with keeping their ranch and the family together.
