Hi friends! Every year you can look forward to one thing from bloggers for the holiday season….gift guides! I am a big fan of gift guides. Even before I was a blogger I loved to see what all of the bloggers would put together. I tried to make one for everyone in your life without going too crazy!
My favorite guide to make is gifts for her! I love picking out things I want and also things people in my life would love.
I didn’t want to overwhelm anyone with all of the gifts. I wanted this to be a super simple guide for anyone who needs a little extra help shopping this year!
As always thank you for supporting me and shopping my links. I really appreciate it!

Hi friends! If you follow me on Instagram (@thebusybrunetteblog) you would know that I started doing my own laser hair removal at home during covid! I use a device from RoseSkinCo. It is super easy to use and so much cheaper than going to a spa.
The IPL has five different settings depending on what level you want. Starting out a level 3 is good and then I suggest working your way up! You can use it up to two times a week. This will get you the best results. The more consistent you are the better.
If you want to try it out or gift it to someone for the holidays I have a code to try the RoseSkinCo laser. Use TheBusyBrunette at checkout for 15% off!
There’s something about fall that makes dates feel extra cozy and fun (even in Arizona)! Here are my top 10 picks for fun dates during the fall, no matter where you live!
1. Grab some festive snacks and have a Halloween movie marathon! I’m planning on doing this with my boyfriend and even creating a cute little invite for him on Canva.
2. S’mores and Stars! Grab a blanket and go outside and roast some s’mores and watch the stars.
3. Pick Pumpkins and carve them! You could turn this into a competition and even have a fun prize at the end. Winners choice!
4. Taste Test Pumpkin Items from Trader Joe’s!
5. Do a Fall DIY! There are endless fall diy projects that you can do! Create a fall sign together or maybe make some holiday decor! Make pumpkin candles or other goodies then then use them together!
6. Tailgate and watch football. This would be an ideal date for my boyfriend I know he would love this one!
7. Create a new tradition for the season!
8. Have a cook off! Use fall items to create. Or make it a spooky one!
9. Bake a pie together.
10. Go to a local event! In Scottsdale we have the Fairmont Princess hosting a really fun one!
These are just some ideas that are inexpensive and fun! I hope you loved this post. I wanted to make it short, sweet, and to the point!
Hi friends! I just got home from my amazing weekend stay at Civana Resort. They invited me to stay for two nights, so my boyfriend and I packed our bags and went to this beautiful resort. We got there Saturday in the afternoon and took some time to hang out and check out the hotel. I had been there a couple times before but this was my first time staying! We happened to be there at the same time as Restaurant Week in Carefree. My boyfriend made reservations for us for dinner at one of the local restaurants called Keelers. It is located five minutes down the road in Spanish Village.
Taking some time to relax in one of the robes they provide.
When we got back from dinner we went down to the pool and spent some time in the hot tub. There was only one other person there so it was nice basically having it all to ourselves!
Sunday morning we woke up and went to brunch at a spot in Cave Creek that we absolutely love called Local Johnny’s. Carefree and Cave Creek boarder each other so there is a ton of restaurant choices and fun things to do all in a small area.
In the afternoon we laid by the pool and went for a swim. They have an gorgeous pool and a limited amount of chairs so it doesn’t get overcrowded. One thing I loved about Civana is how they were handling covid. Everything was very clean and they did a great job taking precautions to make their guests feel safe.
After we had enough of the pool we went back to the room to make the charcuterie board. I loaded up the mini fridge with all of the stuff we needed to make one, and it came out perfect!
We ended the night with a pizza from another great local spot and sat out on the beautiful patio and enjoyed the cool nighttime air.
If you are looking for a place to stay I highly recommend Civana. They are a wellness resort and offer a ton of different fitness and wellness classes. They also have a spectacular spa that I got to tour previously. I’m dying for the next time I get to stay there and try all of the amenities!
I absolutely love living in Arizona. It’s great living in a place that so many people love to vacation at. This means we have tons of amazing spots and fun things to do! I decided to round up a list of some of the places I love to go to for Instagram photos!
I know a lot of bloggers and influencers are constantly on the lookout for spots to really make their Instagram feed look great. These are just some of the ones I love!
1. Teaspressa– This spot is a local blogger favorite for many reasons! The cute seasonal decor and small cozy feeling make for a great photo. They also have a wall outside that looks great in photos!
2. Resorts- We have some of the most beautiful resorts here in Arizona! They are great to take photos at, especially because people there kind of expect you to!
Some of my favorites include- The Scott, Civana, and basically anything close to Old Town Scottsdale!
3. Kierland/ Scottsdale Quarter- Basically anywhere in Kierland and Scottsdale Quarter is amazing for photos! Scottsdale Quarter especially because they will put up things year around to encourage people to take photos there! I always go there in the spring and during the holidays because that’s when the displays are the best.
4. City North- This spot is super underrated! I love it because it’s usually not too busy and there are a ton of spots to take photos. Also there is a hidden speakeasy in one of the coffee shops…shhh…
5. Frontier Town Cave Creek- Cave Creek is an absolute hidden gem that most bloggers don’t take advantage of! This is where I go to shoot a lot of my content when I don’t feel like driving far. Frontier Town is just one of the many spots for photos. It is great year around!
6. Any Of Our Amazing Restaurants– AZ is known for our dining! We have so many great Instaworthy places to choose from. The Henry is a super popular one for photos. I also really love La Grande Orange. Many bloggers hang out and frequent cafes such as SweetDees and Ruze.
7. AirBnb– We have tons of cute Airbnb’s in Scottsdale! I love going to them and getting to take photos. It’s great for getting a ton of content done and not having to worry about people looking at you while you do it!
The Granada GrottoPink Cactus
I hope you enjoyed this post and that it helped inspire you to travel to Scottsdale or to get out and take all the fun photos!
Hi friends! I recently opened a Social Media Consulting business. This has been a long time coming. I absolutely love being able to work from home! I originally had a job offer doing social media for a magazine and their online store, but because of covid they could not hire me on. I took the time I had during quarantine and started the groundwork for my new company! My original plan was to strictly offer help through my blog and release an EBook, but after some consideration I decided to offer one on one coaching!
My new company is called TheBusyBCo! I am offering one on one coaching for bloggers/influencers looking to grow their audience and work with brands!
I have worked with so many amazing brands and I want to teach other women exactly how to do it! My background is in Digital Audiences. I am currently finishing up my degree in Communications. I like to tell people I basically major in Social Media!
One of my most recent partnerships!
In the past year I have grown my Instagram audience to more then 14K followers. I used a lot of different tactics to get to where I am now and now I am going to teach other women how to do it!
A Few of My Favorite Basic Tips On How To Grow On Instagram-
Be Authentic- Show your audience who you really are! Do you have a secret comedic side? Showcase that! People love to see what other people are passionate about.
Curate Your Feed- Take quality photos and use presets to make your whole feed look amazing.
Utilize Your Bio/Name- In my description I have my name and also AZ Blogger. This has helped me so much! When someone searches for a blogger in Arizona I will pop up. Having just your name isn’t as beneficial.
Use Hashtags- I use hashtags that help brands find me. I have been lucky enough to partner with some amazing companies who found me through relevant hashtags.
Engage With Others- Respond to all comments and be genuine! Comment on accounts you love and follow them. Engaging with accounts of a similar size will help with growth.
These are just some simple tips to help you keep growing your account! If you are interested in a consultation email me at chloekendra1997@gmail.com.
Hi friends! Today I am sharing a super simple recipe for Trader Joe’s that I just recently discovered! If you love tamales you will enjoy this one.
The ingredients you will need are- Cheese and Green Chile Tamales. Mexican Roasted Corn. Broccoli Slaw. Cilantro Dressing. Mirepoix.
What you are going to do is cook the corn and mirepoix together for about 7 minutes. While you are waiting cook the tamale and add the slaw to the bottom of the bowl. For me the slaw is optional and I’ve made the meal with and without it. Top it all with the cilantro dressing and you are done! This meal is also vegetarian so that’s amazing!
If you decide to try it out let me know how it is! I personally don’t love to cook so the less time spent in the kitchen the better.
I plan on turning this into a series with all of my easy Trader Joe’s favorites!
Hi friends! I get a lot of questions from people wanting to up their photo game on Instagram. For anyone looking to curate a nice looking feed these tips will be essential!
1. Lighting is everything–
Lighting is sooo important! Personally I take my best photos when I have some cloud cover and when I am in a slightly shaded area. This can be tricky because you don’t want any weird shadows. Usually in these kinds of lighting my preset looks amazing. I also try to only use natural light.
2. Presets are a game changer–
I use Lightroom to edit my photos. I also have a ton of different presets but I use one to make my feed look cohesive. Etsy has a ton of cheap ones if you are starting out. You can also support other bloggers and purchase their presets!
3. Plan out posts-
I personally don’t do this too much. What I do is look at the photos and make sure they will look good next to each other. I’ve posted things and had to delete them because they threw off my whole feed.
4. Clean your camera-
This may seem silly but I can’t tell you how many times my photo hasn’t turned out as crisp because of this!
5. Props!
Depending on what niche you are in these could be a total game changer! If you do flat lays having a really nice background can really up the quality of the photo.
6. Locations
I personally like to see a variety of locations on someone’s feed. I think it makes it look eye catching and interesting!
7. Don’t be too hard on yourself
I am my biggest critic. I will stare at my feed and analyze it and drive myself crazy with the way it looks. It’s not always going to be perfect but that’s totally okay!!
I hope some of these tips were helpful to you. I plan on posting more content all about Instagram and influencing!
Hi friends! We all know that 2020 has been a year of challenge and change. A lot of us made goals for the new year that we didn’t end up keeping and maybe some of our plans got derailed. Before COVID really hit I got a part time dream job, and because of it I never got to start the job. They ended up not being able to hire me on and many of my plans changed. Because of this I really started investing more into my social media and it has paid off.
I decided to really give blogging and instagram a go. Since then I have gotten some amazing opportunities! Even with the pandemic I have been able to work with well known brands. My goal is to hit 15K on Instagram by the end of the year. I am almost at 14K now, so I think this is extremely doable!
My next goal is to finish getting my real estate license. I need to study harder and pass the test. I have been scared to fail it because it is something I really want.
Now that the gym has just opened back up I need to start going back. I just went for the first time this week. I used to be at the gym 4 or 5 times a week and for the past 6 months I’ve hardly worked out.
Creating a new revenue stream is my last goal. I want to be able to have money coming in from so many different places. I feel like this gives some peace of mind.
