Staycation at We Ko Pa Casino Resort

Hi everyone! I’m back with my favorite kind of blog post to share- a staycation/vacation post! This weekend Ryan and I had the pleasure of staying at We Ko Pa. This was my first time going and we had an amazing experience! They have everything you could possibly want- spa, great food, entertainment, a pool, and of course the casino.

We started off our trip by exploring the property which has been redone and added to! In 2020 they opened the new part of the property and it’s amazing! The casino is all non-smoking which I love.

One of the absolute highlights of the weekend was Ember, their fine dining restaurant. The service and the food was 10/10! I haven’t been so blown away by an experience in a long time.

We started off with a couple appetizers. The first was wagyu and tuna that they cook right in front of you on a hot stone. The flavor was fantastic and we loved getting to see it be prepared.

Next we got to taste their scallop dish! Scallops are one of my favorite foods and the flavors their chef paired together were beyond good.

For our entrees we got the Snake River Farms Wagyu Striploin and the Bison Tenderloin. Both were phenomenal and were paired with delicious sides!

You can check out their menu here.

We ended the meal with a yummy dessert- they light it on fire! It’s a great way to end the meal.

The next day we went the the spa for massages! We got Swedish massages and they were great. I loved my therapist and was super relaxed the whole time. The environment was very peaceful and it was the perfect way to end our time at We Ko Pa!

If you are wanting to get away I can’t recommend We Ko Pa enough!

Our room was huge, we had tons of space to relax while we were in there.

The view from our top floor room.

Thank you so much to We Ko Pa for having us! We had the best time and can’t wait to come back again soon.

Things To Do In Spring/Summer In Arizona

If you live in Arizona or are traveling here, you know that starting in May it gets warm! This means that your options can be limited on what you can do. I wanted to give some fun options that you can do with most of the people in your life!

First up I wanted to mention Get Out Pass! If you are looking for a variety of different activities to do with your family, friends, or partners they have so many that anyone would love! You can use code ChloeK (currently 55% off) to enjoy bowling, arcades, guided tours, and other fun things! Get your passes now!

There are great indoor and outdoor options here! Golfing in the summer is a lot cheaper here because of the heat, so it’s a good time to take advantage of it!

The aquarium is another good option because it is air conditioned. People also love going next door to top golf because it doesn’t get too hot there, especially going in the evening.

As someone who was born and raised here one of my favorite things to do is take day trips and enjoy the cooler weather in comparison to the valley!

I will be sharing more fun Arizona things through the summer as well as some travel recommendations!

Strawberry + Sedona Trip

Hi everyone! I’m back with a travel blog post. I just got back in town from spending some time up north and I wanted to share some of the fun spots I went to!

We started in Sedona for the day and did some eating and exploring. First we grabbed some juices at the Local Juicery.

After we took in the views and got some content for Instagram!

We had lunch at Rascal which is located at the Wilde Resort. I had a grilled cheese, with tomato soup and a salad!

Before we left we hiked up one of the vortexes and took in the beautiful Sedona views.

After, we headed to Strawberry! We stayed at the Strawberry Inn, which we absolutely love! The hotel is super cute and they also have different options for accommodations.

While we were there we hiked Tonto Natural Bridge which was gorgeous! The hike to get down is very rocky and slippery but it’s totally worth it.

The trip was so much fun and we had a great time exploring the two towns!

Scottsdale Travel Guide

Hi everyone! Life has been so crazy busy but I wanted to sit down and share my Scottsdale guide for those who are traveling here. I get a ton of requests over on Instagram to share places for girls who are coming into town for a bachelorette party especially!

First up, my favorite restaurants in town that are a must visit when you are here!

Francine– located outside of Fashion Square mall. Amazing French food!

Maple & Ash– upscale, really amazing food. Great for a fancier dinner or a fancy brunch!

La Grande Orange– for a great brunch spot! Has a small shopping area also that would be great for getting some souvenirs.

Zinque– located next to Francine, has a great menu for all day dining. Really cute patio area.

Those are just some of the restaurants that I like! You really can’t go wrong with anything located around Fashion Square and Old Town.

Where to stay? Depending on which part you want to stay in, there are tons of cute airbnbs around old town that are perfect for bigger groups! If you are wanting a hotel Senna is gorgeous, and if you want something relaxing and outside Scottsdale, Civana is a great escape.

What you should do while you are here, depends on what time of year you are here! Look up all of the events we have throughout the year. There are golfing events, rodeos, and spring training! Arizona draws in a big crowd certain times of the year when the weather is perfect and people are wanting to take advantage of it!

There is a lot to do over in Old Town. They have bars and restaurants and shops galore. Early spring is probably the best time to come and check out the valley!

We have lots of options for outdoor activities. People come from all over to enjoy our golf courses. There are also tons of trails for hiking all over.

Scottsdale Staycation

Hi everyone! I had the most relaxing weekend at The Westin Kierland. This is my second year going, and I always have a great time! This year I was solo, which never happens for vacations and staycations. I started off enjoying the nice weather sitting out on my patio. I relaxed before going downstairs to their restaurant Nellie Cashman. I sat outside and listened to the live entertainment for the night, which was a man playing bagpipes! I ordered a delicious burger with potato wedges.

After getting back to my room, I found a surprise waiting for me from the resort!

I cozied up in bed with the blanket they brought me and watched Twilight before bed.

The next morning I went downstairs and grabbed a yogurt and a chai latte and sat outside. They have a beautiful view of the golf course and the weather was great in the morning.

I had such a relaxing stay and after that I headed to an influencer event! If you want more details make sure to follow me on Instagram!

How To Write An Instagram Bio

Coming up with a great bio on Instagram can be difficult! When I am coaching women I see them struggling with what to include. My number one tip is to include searchable information with your name.

You can see I have my name and I included AZ blogger because I wanted it to be searchable for anyone looking for bloggers located in my state! This has helped me get lots of great opportunities. Then I talk about what it is that you can expect from me on my page. I also use beacons for all of my links, which is incredibly helpful!

How To Deal With People

This one was hard to title. One thing about putting little parts of your life on social media and the internet is you never know who is watching. It is probably my least favorite part. Occasionally I will get a rude comment here or there but I also get people who just want to creep.

The creeps are the worst. I hate seeing people looking at my stuff who are not looking with positive intentions. Anyone who creates a fake account for the purpose of looking at your stuff needs some serious help! Especially when it comes to my blog. My blog is a place for me to really talk about the things I like and things that I don’t necessarily put on Instagram. I first started a blog when I was in middle school. Nobody ever read it and it was basically like having an online diary. Now I have more of an audience and I have to be more careful about what it is that I’m posting.

Dating someone and having their exes like to look at my stuff will never not be beyond weird! Or someone who knows someone I know but doesn’t personally know me but just wants to look at my stuff…will never stop being strange to me.

If you feel compelled to keep track of people constantly that you don’t even know, I feel like it’s time to evaluate your own life. It’s still hard not to let it bother me. Thankfully the majority of my followers follow me because they like my style and product recommendations, or they are just other bloggers that are super supportive.

It got me thinking about who it is that supports our content. The other day on my stories I asked my fellow bloggers if they felt supported by the people in their life and if not who. It made me sad to see how many people said their partners, partners families and their friends didn’t support them. A lot of people could relate to it. My mom and friends have always been supportive of me and think that I work so hard on my content. Then there are other people who don’t understand and think it’s not a “real job” or like to make fun of it. It definitely hurts not getting that support and I know a lot of people give up on blogging because of it.

I like being able to tell the women who need it that if they don’t have a single person in their life who is supporting them, me and so many other women will be there to cheer them on. That is what I’ve found in my community. I have made great friends because of it. So it’s not just a job, it’s so much more.

How To Work With Brands

How to work with companies as an influencer/blogger?! I love teaching this to bloggers. I coach and I also have an ebook on this topic!

First, I would say to make sure to interact with them on Instagram. Companies want to see that you have a genuine love for the company! This will help get you noticed.

Next, have a pitch ready for them! I like to have a general email that I can switch up depending on the company, and add in personal touches to.

Last, have an Instagram that is business friendly! Be professional, and have a great aesthetic. This draws companies to you, which is how I get a ton of my collaborations.

These are just a couple simple tips to get you started. If you are serious about growing your page and turning it into a business I highly recommend grabbing the ebook!

Packing For Road Trip

I love road tripping! Every year my boyfriend and I go to Wyoming in the summer. It is such a nice escape from the Arizona heat! One thing I love about not flying is that I can pack whatever I want! I brought a duffel bag and my suit case, which is what I usually do for the trip. We are going for 10 days! I like to have a variety of outfits and I am a classic overpacker.

My suitcase has pockets for shoes and a couple zippered areas. I used the large one for underwear and bathing suits. I left the other one empty to put my dirty stuff in!

I also have two sides which I try to divide up. I use one side for the majority of my clothing and the other for most of the other stuff plus whatever clothes don’t fit.

In my duffel I put all of my makeup and toiletries and anything else I could possibly need! Since we are driving I am leaving my cowgirl boots out of my bags and will just throw them in the truck with everything else!

I personally don’t like packing but I try to make it organized at first, because when I come home my luggage is a total mess!
