How To Say No To A Brand

To all of my blogger and influencer friends- Saying no to a brand can be hard! It is totally okay to set the boundaries of what you want. Don’t be afraid to walk away if they are not meeting your requirements!

It can be difficult to say no or to push for what it is that you deserve. I hear bloggers all the time saying they don’t know what they should be paid and there are a lot of brand that take advantage of that. I have worked with tons of different kinds of companies and one thing I have not been afraid to say is- no.

But how do you politely say no? If you want to work with a brand you don’t want to just automatically say no but you can negotiate for what it is that you want.

Here is an example of what to say to a brand-

Thank you so much again for being open to a partnership with me. At this time my content calendar only allows for guaranteed post spots for paid campaigns. Photoshoots, editing, writing captions, engaging with my audience & answering questions all takes time and talent and I want to make sure my content is as high quality as possible.. Like any business it is very hard to work for free. I’d love to continue this discussion so we could come together to make a great partnership happen.

This is a great way of saying- I am also a business. Please pay me for my time and work I am putting into this.

As a full time creator I take negotiating my terms very seriously! I need to be able to support myself financially, so I have no problem turning away collaborations that don’t want to pay me for my time.

If you want to know how to find paid partnerships and grow your audience I have an ebook on how I grew mine. Click here for the ebook ! It is currently on sale for only $20. If you are needing help coming up with content I also have a content idea planner to help! Grab now for only $7!

Side Hustle Ideas 2021

There is no better time to start a side hustle then now! I myself have a bunch of side hustles. In fact some would consider my job a side hustle! Depending on how much time you have, I have made a list of some great side hustles to make more money this year.

First one is blogging! This is my full time job. I work as an influencer/blogger. You can make money through affiliate marketing, paid collabs’s and some other ways! I also coach women how to do this which is part of my side hustle!

Become a tutor/teacher. There are tons of ways to do this! I know people who work for VIP Kid and love it. You can pick what hours you work. This one you must have a degree but it doesn’t have to be in teaching.

Selling old items or things you just don’t need anymore. I sell my clothes and tons of other stuff. I love clearing out my closet and room because as a blogger I receive free items and also shop a lot.

Find a passion and make money off of it. What are you passionate about? Or what are you good at? How can you turn it into a side hustle? I personally have horses and use that on the side!

An ebook is a great way to make more money! I have an ebook on how to grow your Instagram to 10K and work with companies! Here is the link for the ebook.

You can also have additional digital products to sell based off of your knowledge! I have one of these also and priced it to sell! Link to my content planner.

I hope you found this post helpful! Follow me for weekly blog posts.

A Day In The Life Of A Full Time Blogger

Welcome or welcome back to the blog! For those of you who don’t know my name is Chloe, I am an Arizona based blogger and influencer. This is my full time job and I love it! I am also trying to get into real estate but that is another topic for another day.

I wanted to go through what some of my days are like working as a blogger! It is a super misunderstood job and most people have ideas about what it may be like vs what it is really like.

My day usually starts out waking up between 6:15 and 7. I don’t set an alarm this is just when I naturally wake up. I start by checking my email and seeing if I have gotten any messages from brands. I get tons of emails every day and try to be really good about keeping track of them!

I then move on to engagement on Instagram. I like to make sure I respond to all of my comments and DMs that I haven’t gotten to yet.

I usually get up and get ready for my day after that. I like to take a little time to meditate and prepare myself for the day. I also make sure to eat breakfast, because I know I won’t feel good if I skip it. After I’ve gotten ready I spend some time working on graphics on Canva. I run multiple accounts so I like to make sure I have lots of content for each account. I also create my LIKEtoKNOW.it graphics and see what clothing is new and what’s on sale that I think my audience will love. I then share it to Instagram and also Pinterest!

I have been trying to get in at home workouts but that doesn’t always happen, I need to get better about it. I like to take little breaks throughout the afternoon because being on your phone and computer for so long is draining. I catch up on shows I have missed while I have lunch and read some of the book I review for the book of the month!

I like to take time to research trends and things I can use to increase my visibility online. I am constantly working on bettering my content and overcoming the algorithm! I also like to make a list of potential collaborations and send out pitch emails around this time.

In the early to late afternoon I do my post for the day. I don’t plan posts so I have to make sure I am available for at least an hour around that time to ensure that, that post is successful!

I usually work on a blog post or do research for an upcoming blog post to round out my day. I do keep engaging and responding to comments and DMs until usually I go to bed.

I also have content shoot days which are a little different! For those I pack a bag of things I have received from companies or that I have purchased that I think people will like. I meet up with a blogger friend and we shoot at a designated location for the day. This usually takes a couple hours at least and then I go home and review, delete and edit all of the photos that I took for the day.

One thing I love about blogging is that every day is different and that is part of the fun! I am never bored and I am always thankful I am not sitting at a desk in an office I hate.

Favorite Makeup Products

I have always gotten a lot of questions about the makeup I use, and even though it has changed here and here throughout the years some things stay the same!

I will be showing off and linking all of my everyday products. This post will be my full face of makeup. The only thing I didn’t include was how I apply it. I use a beauty sponge and very simple brushes!

Here are all of the products I use on pretty much a daily basis! I start off with my favorite primer by Tula before I apply my foundation and concealer. This primer is seriously amazing and if you order it off of their website you can use my code 15Chloe for a discount on your first purchase.

I used to only use the Tarte Shape Tape but now I use the E.L.F. Camo concealer. I think it works just as well at a lower price point! I then go in with my Urban Decay foundation which has been one of my all time favorites since I was in high school!

I love all things Charlotte Tilbury and if I could use pretty much all Charlotte I would! A lot of my go to products are by her.

I use mostly high end but I have a couple E.L.F products that do a great job and I really like those ones!

I will link my LIKEtoKNOW.it if you want to shop any of these items!

Life Update

Hi everyone! I don’t tend to get too personal on social media but I love updating the blog and getting to really write important stuff down to look back on.

This last year has been a really crazy one. I started this business and threw myself into full time influencing/blogging. I also started coaching and wrote a couple ebooks! In the past year I’ve grown my following by the thousands and starting helping other women do the same.

I took a job for a very short period of time that I knew was not the one for me at all. That lasted about two months and I am back to full time influencing, which is what I really love. I am also going to be getting my real estate license (which I wish I had with this crazy market).

I lost someone close to me, and have learned a lot because of it. This world has been full of so many challenges and it has been all about taking it day by day.

I have gotten to work with some incredible companies and have been able to make more money as a micro-influencer than I did at that other job.

If you are wanting to be able to do the same thing I do I do one on one coaching and I also sell my ebook!

How To Gain New Instagram Followers Every Single Day

Hi everyone! Because I coach other women and help them to grow their following, and I also wrote an ebook on the topic, I thought I would share some easy tips on how to grow your followers everyday!

My first tip is to post at least 4 days a week when it comes to in feed photos. This may seem like a lot or it may seem manageable! I like to try to post five photos a week but that doesn’t always happen.

Next post reels every week. This is the tip that is much harder to do but I have seen create so much success. Instagram actually recommends that you post at least 3 in feed photos at 4 reels every single week to grow your following. And also be posting to stories everyday!

This one may seem simple but having an easy on the eyes feed is a good way to grow followers. If you feed looks like a mess and has a lot of low quality or poorly edited photos, not may people will want to follow you.

The companies that I work with always say they love my feed, and I get a lot of collaboration requests because of it. When I talk to the girls that I coach I go over their feed with them and show them what is working and what isn’t.

I also like to promote my posts. This is a great tool to grow without having to join any giveaways or anything like that! You will gain likes on your photos and new followers if you are promoting quality photos!

I hope these quick and easy tips helped you. If you are needing more help make sure to check out my ebook or DM my coaching page @thebusybco for private sessions!

The Best Spots For Photos in Scottsdale And Phoenix Arizona Part 1

Hi everyone! This is a very requested blog post. I get tons of comments and questions about the best spots in my state. I will share the places I shoot at for my Instagram photos.

First up is Old Town Scottsdale Area! This is a great place for photos. Lots of different places to snap a picture no matter what kind of aesthetic you are going for.

I take photos around the mall as well as over in Old Town. I always get amazing results because there are so many spots!

I wanted to mention the two Airbnb’s I love that are close by to that. Being a blogger they have let me go and take photos there, but they are the cutest places to rent out! They are the Granada Grotto and the Pink Cactus.

Also in Scottsdale I am a big fan of Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter. I frequent both of these places.

We have tons of great restaurant options for photos but that is a whole other blog post! One that is great for photos is the Henry. Also Teaspressa for cute pics and a tea or coffee!

We literally have desert all around us. Taking a photo in the desert is super easy and at golden hour or in the morning is always pretty!

And that’s all for part one…stay tuned for part 2!

New Clothing Rack

For my birthday this year I asked for a clothing rack! I have been wanting one for a couple years now. I ordered mine off of Amazon and it was perfect for my room! It fits great in the spot and I love being able to display items I love.

This is what the rack looked like completely empty! It matches perfectly with my room. I wanted to display purses and some other items on the side and try to stick to neutrals for the clothing items.

This is not the final look for my clothing rack! I am still messing around with it and plan on getting some other items for the shelves. So far I am happy with the progress and can’t wait to do more decorating!

Here is the link for my clothing rack if you are interested in purchasing it!
