November Book Favorite!

Hi everyone! I meant to post this sooner but my November book of the month was Crave by Tracy Wolff. It is a fun mix between Twilight and Legacies. If you love fantasy and books about Vampires and werewolves and witches this is a good one for you!

After Grace’s parents die, she is sent to Alaska to live in a boarding school that is run by her uncle. She starts to figure out that the people at her new school are not normal teenagers. Grace falls in love with Jackson, who is dark and broody and mysterious.

There are some good twists to this book and it was definitely entertaining! I would probably give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

What book do you want to see next?

October Book Review

If you’ve missed my book reviews for the past couple months, they are back! This month I am reviewing The Ex Hex, right in time for Halloween. I love a good witchy romance. I used one of my Audible credits for this month and enjoyed listening to it while driving around town.

The book is about a witch named Vivi, it starts off with her at 19 years old completely broken-hearted over a boy. She nurses her broken heart with vodka a bubble bath and a lighthearted curse. She didn’t think she would end up actually cursing Rhys using a Bath and Body Works candle, but 9 years later when Rhys comes back to town on his family’s witchy business things start going really wrong. Rhys and Vivi spend time together trying to break the curse, and sparks start to fly all over again.

This book is super cute and fun for this time of year. It was an easy one to get through, and enjoyable to listen to on Audible.

July Book Review

My July book was another audiobook! Guyton and I listened to multiple while on our long road trip to Wyoming. The book I enjoyed the most on the trip was called The Last Thing He Told Me, by Laura Dave. This was a Reese’s book club pick, which I didn’t see until later on.

The book starts off with Hannah, the main character, getting an ominous note dropped off to her from her husband. It said “protect her”. Her husband Owen becomes wanted in an investigation and Hannah is left to care for his teenage daughter Bailey. More and more details come to light as the book goes on as to who Owen really is and what secrets he is hiding.

I don’t want to give too much away, but we definitely enjoyed this book and it helped to keep us awake on our drive. I loved how it was suspenseful but not overly so. It kept me wanting to know more and discover what it was that was being hidden from Hannah.

I highly recommend the audio book version as well! The narrator did a great job and I was very entertained.

I hope you all have been loving these monthly book reviews as much as I am! If you have any book recommendations feel free to message me on Instagram.

June Book Review

Happy June! It is way too hot here in Arizona so staying in and reading is one of my favorite things to do. This month I decided I would try out an audio book, which I don’t normally do!

I picked a book called Lore, and those of you who love Greek mythology you will really enjoy it. It is about the gods being cursed by Zeus to be hunted by the bloodlines of the hero’s in all the stories.

Lore is a young girl who is the descendant of Perseus. She wanted nothing to do with the Agon, which is the 7 days the bloodlines hunt the original gods. When one of them is killed the mortal is able to take their power and become a god themselves.

I finished this book in a few days, I highly recommend listening to the audiobook. The author did a great job narrating all of the different characters in the book, which makes you feel like you are almost listening to a movie.

When I was younger I was a big fan of Percy Jackson and if you liked those books I’m sure you will also enjoy this one! I don’t want to give away too much of the plot of the book. If you read it comment and let me know what you thought of it!

Summer Reads! May Book Recommendation

Hi everyone! I’m back with another book review for this month. May’s book is Tools of Engagement. This book is super cute. It is another fun light read for summer! The perfect book to hang out by the pool and read.

This story is about perfectionist Bethany Castle who is on a man-cleanse and her cute foreman Wes. Wes comes to town and starts working for Bethanys brother, which leads to him quitting to help out Bethany with her house flip. The siblings get stuck in a reality TV house flipping rivalry, with Wes on team Bethany.

They take a house that badly needs to be redone and team up to do it together. There is plenty of funny jokes and banter between the two of them and pretty soon it becomes more than just a house flip!

I love reading feel good novels like this one. Very entertaining and doesn’t take long to get through! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a fun romance.

8/10

Stay tuned every month to see what book I will be reviewing!

Book Of The Month

This month I am starting something new! It is called Book of the Month. I will be posting and reviewing a new book every single month. Some will be fiction and some will be non-fiction that way there is something for everyone.

I just recently finished a new book that I really really enjoyed reading! It took me two days to get through and I would definitely recommend for a fast fun read.

It’s called She’s Faking It by Kristin Rockaway. The story follows Bree and her series of unfortunate life events that lead her to being car-less and jobless. She starts up an Instagram page and follows along with a life guru, and tries to turn it all around. Meanwhile she’s falling for the cute pro surfer next door.

I would highly recommend this one. Definitely a 4.5 stars out of 5! It is cute and funny and will definitely hook you in. I passed on the book for my friend to read and also hopefully enjoy as much as I did.

I have a lineup of books that I will be reading and reviewing and who knows I may throw in an extra one sometimes, depending on how many books I read in the month!
